Richest Royal family member revealed but the list might surprise you

We all know the Royals live in luxury, but just how much money do they actually have?

Who’s wealthier: Kate Middleton or Meghan Markle? What about Prince William versus Prince Harry?

And then there’s the mind-blowing fortune of the new generation of Royals – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet are already worth more than most of us could ever dream of, despite being too young to work, or in some cases, even tie their own shoelaces.

Here’s the full rundown of every major member of the royal family, ranked by their wealth.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – £400k

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three kids – Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, seven – are already living the high life.

So how have they managed to amass such wealth? Well, as you’d probably guess, their fortune comes mainly from gifts, inheritances, and trust funds.

What’s even more interesting is that some people believe Princess Charlotte might end up earning more than her brothers as she grows up.

The reason for this is something known as the ‘Kate Middleton effect’. Basically, her mother’s style is so on-point that whatever she wears sells out immediately. It’s expected that Princess Charlotte could one day have the same kind of influence.

Queen Camilla – £3.9m

Even though she’s the Queen of England, Camilla’s net worth is actually on the lower side compared to other members of the Royal Family.

Her wealth comes from an inheritance of £500k from one of her grandparents, along with an £850k country house that she got after her divorce from her first husband, Andrew Parker-Bowles.

Prince Andrew – £3.9m

Even though it’s been widely reported that Prince Andrew is £12m poorer after settling with Virginia Giuffre in a civil sexual assault case, he is still doing quite well financially.

Despite his millions, the Duke of York has been facing tougher times recently, as King Charles is said to be pushing him to leave the Royal Lodge in Windsor.

His income comes from his Navy pension and various property deals.

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet – £3.9m to £7.9m

Although online estimates of six-year-old Prince Archie and three-year-old Princess Lilibet’s wealth might be inflated, rumors suggest that the children of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could be worth more than many adult members of the Royal Family.

Similar to Prince William’s children, their wealth is believed to come from inheritances and gifts.

Kate Middleton – £7.9m

Kate’s wardrobe is said to be worth around £760k, and her parents are millionaires thanks to their business, Party Pieces.

Incredibly, Kate’s sister Pippa is five times wealthier than her, after marrying billionaire James Matthews.

Harry and Meghan – £47m

Even though they stepped down as senior royals in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still among the wealthiest members of the Royal Family.

Harry inherited £10 million from Princess Diana and received a £7.9 million trust fund from the Queen Mother on his 40th birthday.

Then there’s the income from his widely talked-about memoir Spare.

As for Meghan, she has her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, which was recently renewed for a second season, as part of their £80 million deal with the streaming platform.

Before marrying Harry, Meghan was estimated to be worth £3.9 million, thanks to her role in Suits and her lifestyle blog The Tig.

Prince William – £80m

Like Harry, the heir to the throne has also received inheritances from the Queen Mother and Princess Diana, but his main source of wealth comes from the Duchy of Cornwall.

From April 2023 to March 2024, William made £23 million in private income from the duchy.

King Charles – £610 million to £1.8 billion

When Queen Elizabeth passed away in 2022, Charles inherited her estate without having to pay any inheritance tax.

According to a detailed report from The Guardian, the King’s fortune is estimated at £1.8 billion. His assets reportedly include £330 million in private properties like Balmoral and Sandringham, £2.3 million from selling horses at auctions, a £24 million art collection, £533 million worth of jewels, and even a £100 million stamp collection. On top of that, he earns around £20 million every year from the Duchy of Lancaster.

However, a spokesperson for the King described these numbers as “a highly creative mix of speculation, assumption and inaccuracy,” while The Sunday Times Rich List puts his net worth at a much lower £610 million.
