Prince Harry Took Swipe At Queen Camilla With Brutal Two-Word Nickname

Prince Harry has sparked fresh debate after revealing the cutting nickname he once used for Queen Camilla.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, opened up about his complicated feelings toward his stepmother in his best-selling memoir Spare, revisiting the impact her relationship with King Charles had on him and Prince William during their childhood.

In the book, Harry describes the confusion and emotional strain that followed as their father’s relationship with Camilla became public. And now, one revelation in particular — his brutal two-word nickname for her — has reignited public discussion.

Online, reactions have been mixed. “I really don’t think he wants to get back into the family,” one commenter wrote. Another added, “I can understand why he’s angry at his father for leaving his mother — that will always stay with him — but he needs to move on.”

Others were more sympathetic: “He has every right to feel the way he does about her,” one fan defended. Another agreed, writing, “I don’t blame him one little bit.”

Harry’s strained relationship with both Camilla and the wider royal family has long been a focus of public fascination. In Spare, he details how both he and William opposed their father’s decision to marry her.

Speaking to Anderson Cooper on CBS’s 60 Minutes, the Duke explained, “We didn’t think it was necessary. We thought it would do more harm than good. We wanted him to be happy — and we saw how happy he was with her. So, at the time, it was, ‘okay.’”

Still, Harry admits that he and William were uneasy about Camilla’s growing influence and her perceived efforts to reshape her image. “Because of the need for her to rehabilitate her image, that made her dangerous,” he said, referring to her close ties with the British press. “And with her position on the way to becoming Queen Consort, there was a potential for significant fallout.”

In his memoir, Harry refers to Camilla more than 60 times, describing her as the “Other Woman” — a label that, while succinct, carries heavy emotional weight. The phrase underscores his lingering discomfort with the role she played in his parents’ marriage and its aftermath.

Yet despite his harsh words, Harry has also shown moments of empathy. In an interview with Good Morning America, he said, “She’s my stepmother. I don’t look at her as an evil stepmother. I see someone who married into this institution and has done everything she can to improve her own reputation and her own image for her own sake.”

Still, for many readers, the “Other Woman” remark remains one of the most striking revelations in Spare — a reminder of how deep the wounds from the past still run within the royal family.
