My Future Brother-in-Law Was Always a Pain, but He Went Too Far at Our Wedding and That Was the Last Straw for My Fiancé and Me

My future brother-in-law was always a problem—rude, arrogant, and constantly pushing boundaries. But on my wedding day, he crossed a line that changed everything. He humiliated me in front of everyone, turning what should have been the happiest day of my life into a nightmare. That was the last straw, and my fiancé finally had enough.

Michael and I met at a mutual friend’s party, and our relationship moved quickly. Within three months, we were living together, and six years passed before we seriously considered marriage. Life always seemed to get in the way, but eight months ago, Michael proposed in the most thoughtful way, making the moment unforgettable.

But there was one problem—his brother, Jordan.

Jordan was insufferable—condescending, arrogant, and constantly trying to assert dominance over Michael. At first, I tolerated him, keeping my distance. But one night, after a family dinner, Jordan cornered me near the bathroom.

“My brother doesn’t deserve someone like you. You’d have a much better time with me,” he said, his voice smooth but his eyes cold. Before I could react, he grabbed my waist, his hand sliding lower.

“Get off me!” I shouted, shoving him away. My heart pounded as I rushed back to the dining room, shaken.

That night, I told Michael everything. Furious, he confronted Jordan, who merely laughed it off, claiming it was a “test” to see if I was loyal. I didn’t buy it, but Michael let it go. That was just the beginning.

Jordan’s behavior escalated—disgusting texts, inappropriate pictures, relentless harassment. I blocked him, but he found ways to keep pushing boundaries. When I told Michael I didn’t want Jordan at our wedding, he agreed immediately. But then his parents intervened, refusing to attend unless Jordan was invited.

Not wanting to ruin the wedding, I gave in. I shouldn’t have.

On my wedding day, I stood in the bridal room, staring at my reflection. My dress was perfect, the moment surreal. Then, a knock at the door.

I opened it, and there stood Jordan.

“What are you—” Before I could finish, he lifted a bucket and dumped its contents over me.

Cold, sticky liquid drenched me. The sharp smell of paint filled the room. My dress, my hair—ruined.

“This is for rejecting me, witch,” he sneered before walking away.

My bridesmaids scrambled to help, but the damage was done. Then, Stacy burst into the room, breathless.

“Jordan told everyone you ran away! Michael is freaking out!” she blurted.

Fury burned through me. Enough was enough.

I stormed into the church, heads turning as I entered. Michael stood at the altar, his expression devastated.

“I didn’t run away!” I announced. “Jordan poured green paint on me. Then he lied!”

Jordan leaned back, smirking. “It was just a harmless joke.”

Michael’s expression darkened. “Get out!” His voice was sharp, unwavering.

“Michael, he’s your brother,” his mother protested.

“If you support him, you can leave too,” he replied without hesitation.

A tense silence followed. His parents exchanged glances, then grabbed Jordan and left without another word.

Michael turned back to me, his eyes softening. He pulled me close, resting his forehead against mine. “I was so scared,” he whispered.

I exhaled, feeling the weight of everything lift. “Thank you for standing up for me.”

“From now on, always,” he promised.
