Mom Installs Baby Monitor in Son’s Room and Gets Scared When She Sees Movement There

Alicia installed a baby monitor in her son’s room after noticing his constant exhaustion and restlessness—only to witness something that sent chills down her spine.

Almost a year ago, Alicia and her husband, John, were happily married and excitedly awaiting their baby’s arrival. But their joy was shattered when John tragically lost his life in a car accident. At seven months pregnant, Alicia went into labor due to the shock.

John’s secretary, Madison, was incredibly supportive and encouraged Alicia to work from home so she could care for her newborn. Although she could have hired a nanny, Alicia was determined to raise Edduin herself.

One morning, Alicia woke up to Edduin crying again. She checked his crib, but nothing seemed to be bothering him. Concerned, she consulted a doctor, but there was no clear explanation.

Days passed, and Edduin only seemed more exhausted. Then, one afternoon, Alicia heard giggles coming from his room—odd, because she hadn’t gone in yet. When she rushed inside, the room was empty.

This happened repeatedly. Edduin would wake up, giggling or staring into space. Feeling uneasy, Alicia decided to install a Wi-Fi baby monitor to keep watch.

The first few minutes of the live feed showed nothing unusual. But then, Alicia saw movement—and Edduin’s lips curled into a smile. Panic gripped her as she sprinted to his room and threw the door open.

Her hands trembled until she realized who the “intruder” was—a small, frail dog hiding behind Edduin’s crib.

As Edduin giggled, Alicia suddenly remembered. She and John had once owned a dog named Doblo, and after his passing, they had converted his old playroom into Edduin’s nursery.

In the chaos of John’s death and Edduin’s birth, Alicia had forgotten to seal the dog door leading into the room. That was how the little stray had gotten in, unknowingly keeping Edduin awake with his playful visits.

Feeling sympathy for the poor pup, Alicia decided to adopt him, naming him Casper. Now, Casper and Edduin are inseparable best friends. With Casper’s company, Edduin cries less, sleeps peacefully, and is a much happier baby—proving that sometimes, the most unexpected encounters can bring the greatest joy.
