Meghan Markle sends ‘scared’ podcaster blunt handwritten note after being personally called out by her

Meghan Markle’s new Netflix series may have sparked mixed opinions, but it seems she’s having the last laugh.

Her lifestyle show With Love, Meghan shot into Netflix’s top 10 shortly after premiering earlier this month. Many viewers appreciated its cozy, uplifting vibe, enjoying moments of her baking cakes and setting up balloon arches alongside celebrity friends.

Some fans even gave her recipes and DIY ideas a try, excitedly posting their creations on social media.

But, of course, critics were quick to chime in, and this time, they didn’t hold back—mocking Meghan for what they saw as her ‘out of touch’ advice.

Admittedly, it’s hard not to do a double take when someone suggests reaching out to ‘your local beekeeper’ for wax to make homemade candles. But like most lifestyle shows, while there are moments that feel a bit over the top, there are also parts that spark genuine curiosity.

Even before the show aired, many had already formed their opinions—podcaster Amanda Hirsch reacted to the trailer, saying, “You guys I’m scared for Meghan.”

You’d think that a simple comment posted 10 weeks ago would have just faded into the background of Instagram, but surprisingly, there’s been an unexpected development.

Sharing a screenshot of her original comment, Amanda, 33, wrote: “OH MY DUCHESS.”

The next image in the carousel revealed a handwritten note, personally signed by Meghan.

“Dear Amanda, I heard you were feeling scared,” the note read.

“Don’t be! This is the fun part – let’s enjoy it.”

She ended the message with: “As ever, Meghan.”

Reflecting on the unexpected exchange in her Stories, Amanda explained that her initial comment had actually been in support of Meghan.

“Remember I said I was scared for Meghan’s new show and the possible hate she would get bc for some reason ppl wanna hate on her about everything?” she said, before sharing the note.

She went on: “Like, obviously framing this. Beyond shook. Beyond spiraling. Did I smell the paper? Yes! Do I want my own monogram? Yes. Am I absolutely flabbergasted and obsessed? F**K. YES. @meghan you have a fan for life.”

Amanda added in another post: “So funny bc I have a box of letters but felt like I can’t just put it in that box so I started a new box of extra special letters and this is the first and only in it for now!”
