Prince William accused of having annoying royal habit as Princess Anne urges him to quit

The royal family may appear flawless in public, but like any family, they have their quirks. According to a recent report, Princess Anne has occasionally expressed frustration with her nephew, Prince William.

The insight surfaced as Anne prepares to celebrate her 75th birthday on August 15. In honor of this milestone, the Royal Mint has issued a commemorative coin featuring her portrait and coat of arms, accompanied by the words “The Princess Royal – Celebrating 75 Years – Duty and Devotion.” Many see this tribute as fitting recognition of her decades of service to the crown.

A tireless royal approaching a milestone

Often described as the hardest-working member of the monarchy, Princess Anne has maintained an unwavering commitment to public duties throughout her life. As the daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, she has spent decades attending hundreds of engagements annually.

Despite turning 75, she has no plans to step back anytime soon. A source speaking to The Times said she intends to continue her work for years to come, aiming to reduce her schedule only around the age of 80 and fully retire closer to 90, mirroring the approach of her late father, Prince Philip. The source noted that Anne hopes to slow down while still in good health, eventually spending more time at her home in Gloucestershire.

What reportedly annoys her about William

While Anne is known for her dedication, the same insider claims she wishes Prince William would take on a greater share of the routine ceremonial duties known as “bread-and-butter” engagements.

In particular, Anne is said to still handle the majority of investiture ceremonies at Windsor Castle, despite William living nearby. Investitures are events where individuals receive honors in person from senior royals. Currently, only King Charles, Anne, and William conduct these ceremonies, with approximately 30 held each year.

Sources suggest that Anne finds it frustrating to carry the bulk of this responsibility when her nephew could, in her view, share more of the load.

Whether or not this tension lingers, Princess Anne remains admired for her work ethic and continues to set a strong example as she marks her 75th year.
