Meghan Markle recently shared that her son, Prince Archie, is about to lose his first tooth—just hours after Princess Kate released a new birthday photo of Prince Louis showing off his own gap-toothed grin.
Speaking at the Time100 Summit in New York, Meghan mentioned that Archie’s tooth is “just about” to fall out and she hopes to be back in California in time to see it happen.
Her sweet comment came as royal fans admired Prince Louis’s birthday photo, calling him “so grown up” with his toothless smile.
Archie, now 5, was just 8 months old when Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties and moved to the U.S.

Archie and Lilibet are growing up away from the spotlight and have had no contact with their UK cousins. Meghan recently shared that being present for her children is just as important as her business, saying small moments with them outweigh anything else.
However, she faced backlash last week after fans noticed her Easter product picks on ShopMe included outfits worn by Prince George and Princess Charlotte, sparking claims she was “copying” Kate’s children’s clothes.

Meghan Markle recently featured British brands Boden and Trotters on her platform—both of which are also favorites of the royal family. Princess Charlotte has worn Trotters, and Kate Middleton has often chosen Boden outfits for her children. Meghan highlighted a Boden baby dress with a colorful shell pattern.
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton shared a birthday portrait of Prince Louis, now 7, dressed in a green jumper and jeans, smiling without his front teeth. The photo, taken in the garden at Anmer Hall, showed him surrounded by spring bluebells. Unlike tradition, Kate released the picture later in the morning instead of at midnight.
