Meghan Markle and Prince Harry defended after posting ‘cringe’ labour dance video

Social media users have come to Meghan Markle’s defense after she shared a video of herself and Prince Harry dancing in the delivery room shortly before Princess Lilibet was born.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are typically very private when it comes to their children — Prince Archie, now 6, and Princess Lilibet, who just turned 4.

Recently though, Meghan has started posting more about their kids, especially around their birthdays.

In May, she celebrated Archie’s sixth birthday with a photo on Instagram. Then, just yesterday (4 June), she shared a picture of Lilibet with the caption: “Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives – and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!”

But that wasn’t the only post — the former Suits actress also uploaded another video, this time showing a moment from inside the delivery room.

In a video shared on Meghan’s Instagram, she’s seen dancing in the delivery room while heavily pregnant. In the caption, she wrote:
“Four years ago today, this also happened.
Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work – there was only one thing left to do!”

Prince Harry then joins in, dancing alongside his wife as they waited for their daughter’s arrival.

The post, however, sparked mixed reactions among social media users.

Some people were quick to criticize, with one user saying it was “not royalty,” and adding: “Keep some private moments… private!”

Another commented: “Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are a massive embarrassment to the Royal Family. Hard to believe they still hold their royal titles.”

But not everyone agreed. Others came to the couple’s defense — with one fan even calling them “icons.”

“Meghan and Harry are such icons,” one person wrote. Another added: “It’s hilarious how obsessed you all are with Meghan Markle. You just can’t stand anyone who isn’t an upper-class white woman.”

A third chimed in: “The Meghan Markle hate is just so cringey.”

Someone else brought up Princess Diana, saying: “She would’ve loved to see them like this.”

And finally, one user summed it up with: “They could never make me hate her lmaooo.”
