Surgeon who tried to save Diana’s life finally confirms the rumours

The late Princess Diana was a captivating woman and a devoted mother. Her beauty, both inside and out, was truly mesmerizing. Her charisma won the hearts of millions who admired her for her sincerity, her unwavering commitment to her people, and for simply being the person she was.

Her life, however, wasn’t without its challenges. Despite seeming to have it all, constantly in the public eye, her marriage to Prince Charles was far from perfect. After years of public scandals, they eventually divorced in August 1966, just a year before her tragic passing.

Her death shocked the world, leaving an indelible mark, especially on her children, Princes William and Harry, who followed her casket at her funeral—a moment forever etched in the memory of many Britons.

MonSef Dahman, the surgeon who was present at the hospital in France the night Lady Di passed away, has shared insights into what truly happened and the events that led to the loss of the People’s Princess.

“The thought that you have lost an important person, for whom you cared personally, marks you for life,” he told the Daily Mail.

He recalled starting his shift at 8 a.m. and being at the hospital the whole night. Around 2:06 a.m., roughly an hour and a half after Princess Diana’s accident, she was brought in. “I was resting in the duty room when I got a call from Bruno Riou, the senior duty anaesthetist, telling me to go to the emergency room,” Dahman shared with the Daily Mail. “I wasn’t told it was Lady Diana, but [only] that there’d been a serious accident involving a young woman.”

The X-rays revealed serious internal injuries, and Diana received a blood transfusion. Tragically, she suffered another cardiac arrest. Despite surgery and attempts to restart her heart with electric shocks and cardiac massage, her heart couldn’t be revived. Dr. Dahman explained, “We tried everything, but we couldn’t get her heart beating again. We fought hard, but time seemed irrelevant in that moment. Our only focus was doing everything possible for her.”

Princess Diana continues to be the most mourned figure to have ever lived.

A new documentary about the late Princess, which will honor her remarkable life, is set to air soon. According to the Express, new insights into her life will be revealed.

“There is something a bit magical about Princess Diana – and despite the difficulties in her personal life she managed to use her connection with people to do huge amounts of good,” Executive Producer David Glover told Express.

“Her 60th birthday feels like the perfect time to re-examine her life and legacy and explore just how she went from a relatively unknown teenager to the most mourned person who ever lived.”

Diana is deeply missed by many, but her two sons, who loved her without reservation, feel her absence the most. They honor her memory whenever they can, cherishing the special moments they spent with her.

“When everyone asks, ‘She was funny, can you give us an example?’ All I can hear is her laugh,” Harry shared in a 2017 interview with Good Morning America.

“She was one of the most mischievous parents. She would come watch us play football and sneak sweets into her socks. I remember walking back from a match and she’d have five packs of candy hidden there. Her shirt was just stuffed with them.”

“We always felt incredibly loved by her, and I’m so thankful that love still feels present,” William reflected. “It seems like a good time to remember her and hopefully show a different side.”

“It was that love, even when she was across the room—just as her son, you could always feel it,” Harry added.

She wanted her sons to experience a normal childhood and did everything she could to keep them happy. To give them a break from royal life, she often took them outside the Palace—to theme parks, fast food spots, and other places regular kids enjoyed.

Darren McGrady, Diana’s former personal chef, once recalled a memorable moment in an interview with Marie Claire: “I remember the princess came into the kitchen one day and said, ‘Cancel lunch for the boys, I’m taking them out, we’re going to McDonald’s.’ And I said, ‘Oh my God – your Royal Highness, I can do that, I can do burgers.’ And she said, ‘No, it’s the toy they want.’”

This year, Princess Diana would have turned 63. Her legacy lives on, and she remains deeply missed. May she rest in peace.
